New Products: P-fectamine

transfection compare

P-FectamineTM, a proprietary transfection reagents, was developed by ProteinOne for high efficiency transfection for many mammalian cell lines with very low cytotoxicity.  P-Fectamine was shown to efficiently deliver genes in many established cell lines which include HEK293 (293T, 293E), CHO, HeLa, K562, BHK-21, 4T1 (a breast cancer cell line), insect cell lines (Sf9 and Sf21) and other eucaryotic cell lines. The protocol developed for 24 well plate can be easily scaled up. It is also good for large scale recombinant mammalian protein expression.

Researchers uncover key cancer-promoting gene

January 6, 2015 - University of Michigan Health System - One of the mysteries in cancer biology is how one protein, TGF-beta, can both stop cancer from forming and encourage its aggressive growth. Now, researchers have uncovered a key gene that may explain this paradox and provide a potential target for treatment.
