The company is in a leadership position by having these very high purity Proteases, the quality and availability of which are unequaled in the current protein reagent market.
Nuclear Receptor Activity Confirmed ProteinOne's value added product quality and protein activity are confirmed. Ligand binding activity of nuclear hormone receptors can be indirectly measured through the ligand-dependent interaction between the receptor and cofactors such as steroid receptor coactivator 1 (SRC1). The quality improvement data shows that the PPAR gamma ligand indomethacin increases the interaction between purified SRC 1 receptor interaction domain (SRC1 RID) (Cat. No. P1080) and purified GST-PPAR gamma LBD (Cat. no. P4036). This validation documents the protein ligand binding and confirms activity of ProteinOne's protein. For more detailed information, contact us a info@proteinone.com. High Protein Purification Success RateProteinOne is establishing itself as the premiere leader in the human protein expression and purification business. Not all protein purification and expression facilities are created equal. Many companies and institutions offer protein services but, upon completion of these protein isolations, the yield is very little if any protein at all for their efforts at a high cost. ProteinOne's completion rate is nearly 100% and approaching 300 proteins successfully purified. The high quality, purity and full length proteins produced by the company enable requesting medical researchers to proceed uninterrupted with confidence in their intended experiments. ProteinOne provides a complete service including cloning, expression and purification, from beginning to the end where other companies may not. (Press Release)

NEW ProteinOne Proteomic CitationsProteinOne continues to make contributions to the systems biology discovery arena with products cited in recent scientific publications. P1 is cited as a protein interaction biochip company in the recent issue of Nature Biotechnology. In the issue, it comments that " The early analogies between proteomics and genomic analysis have been either overly simplistic or completely misleading, as the level of complexity in the former is orders of magnitudes higher." Dolores Cahill, director of the Center for Human Proteomics at the Dublin-based Royal College of Surgeons is quoted as saying "I think there is now a bit more realism about the expertise and the infrastructure required to do good proteomics studies".
ProteinOne provides protein solutions and enables genomic researchers to realistically face this new frontier. Other recent ProteinOne citations include: Benz et al. "An erythroid differentiation-specific splicing switch in protein 4.1R mediated by the interaction of SF2/ASF with an exonic splicing enhancer" Blood, Vol.105, No.5,2146 - 2153, March 2005 Xu et al. New Products - GST-RAR-γProteinOne now offers a GST-tagged, Retinoic Acid Receptor. Retinoic acid receptors are important in the regulation of growth and differentiation of epithelial tissues, embryonic and central nervous system development as well as sebaceous gland activity and exhibit immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory properties. Retinoids mediate their effect by two classes of nuclear receptor proteins, the retinoic acid receptors (RARs) and the retinoid X receptors (RXRs), that each consist of three isotypes (α, β, and γ) encoded in separate genes . Current retinoid research targets the development of receptor-selective retinoids for tailoring and/or improving their therapeutic profile.
New Products - GST-PPARα and GST-PPARα-LBDThis group of closely related nuclear receptors, called peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors (PPARs), may be involved in chronic diseases such as diabetes, obesity, artherosclerosis and cancer. ProteinOne now offers the new GST tagged PPARα and the isolated GST tagged PPARα ligand binding domain as well as the three PPAR isotypes. PPARα is expressed most in brown adipose tissue and liver, then kidney, heart and skeletal muscle. PPARγ is mainly expressed in adipose tissue, and to a lesser extent in colon, the immune system and the retina. PPARβ is found in many tissues but the highest expression is in the gut, kidney and heart. PPARγ influences the storage of fatty acids in the adipose tissue.
New Product - GST-LXRα-N182Liver X receptors (LXRs) are nuclear receptors that regulate the metabolism of cholesterol and bile acids. ProteinOne offers the two subtypes LXRα , LXRβ , LXR isolated ligand binding domain and now the new GST-tagged, N terminal 1-182 region. LXRβ is preferentially expressed in liver, small intestine, kidney and spleen. In contrast, LXRα expression is ubiquitous. The genomic structure and the promoter regions of the two LXR genes contain specific regulatory sites, which suggest that LXRs may have physiological roles in the immune system.
