GST-TF2A-P12
GST-tagged p12 subunit of Transcription Factor IIA
- Species: Human
- Expression: Host E.coli
- Tag: GST-tag
- Purity: 90%
- Molecular Weight: 40.0 kDa.
- Gene Accession Number: NM_004492.
p12 is a small subunit (γ) of the transcription factor IIA and has been shown to be required for both basal and activated transcription. Recombinant p12, along with two other subunits (α and β) can potentiate transcriptional activation, whereas p12 along with β subunit is able to function in an antirepression (1-3).
synonym include: GST-tagged Transcription Factor IIA g subunit was purified from a bacterial system.
GST-p12 is isolated from a strain of E. coli that contains the coding sequence for human TFIIA γ subunit under the control of a T7 promoter.
GST-p12 can be used to study protein-protein interaction assays (4, 5).
The purified protein is greater than 95% homogeneous based on SDS-PAGE analysis.
1 unit equals 1 nanogram of purified protein. 100 units (ng) are sufficient for a protein-protein interaction assay.
